Artichoke anyone? This is a little study that was painted with PanPastels and Pastels Pencil on Pastelmat. Interesting to note that 90% of this was PanPastel alone using bristle brushes and in particular a teeny weenie 1/8 of an inch synthetic brush. If you want to view how this was painted in real time step-by step, please visit my Patreon channel and for $8 per month you will have access to this tutorial and all my exclusive post and tutorials.
Work in Progress - Painting an Artichoke with PanPastels with bristle brushes Part 1 is underway. We managed to use masking film, paint in the background and get some petals in (which in botanical terms the petals are called "Bract") who knew!!!!! Hopefully, we may be able to finish this next.
I invite you to visit my Patreon channel where I will be showing you step-by step, real time tutorial on how to paint this artichoke. I will also show how to achieve lovely soft backgrounds and how to achieve textures with PanPastels using bristle brushes.
